Materials and finishes: choosing your direction

Journal · Craft

A loudspeaker is part of the room, even when the music stops.

Choosing a finish starts with the atmosphere you want to create. Think about the wood, furniture and light already present in your listening space, then decide whether the speakers should sit quietly within it or form a deliberate focal point.

Start with a colour family

The Esséncia preview includes Walnut, Oak, Dark Walnut, Ebony and Custom finish preferences. These names describe directions to explore. The flat colour swatches on this site are illustrative; they do not represent a final veneer sample or confirmed availability.

Look beyond a screen

A photograph can begin the conversation, but it cannot settle every question about texture, grain or appearance in your room. Before a finish is agreed, review the actual material information and any available sample under the lighting where the speakers will stand.

Consider the whole cabinet

The front, sides, details and optional visual elements should be considered together. Use the configurator to record a preference for the front and any features you would like to discuss. Available combinations will be confirmed for each model.

Keep a useful reference

Save your configuration while you compare directions. You can also share a link containing your selections, without adding contact details. The preview is a starting point for discussion and does not reserve materials or place an order.
