Listening Spaces

Listening spaces

A place for music.
A pair that belongs.

A loudspeaker becomes part of a room long before the first note plays. Start with the place where you listen, then make the room and the system work together.

Three ways to listen

A considered place at any scale.

01 · Personal listening corner

Make space for a closer listen.

A focused listening position can live within one part of a room. Begin with a chair, two stable speaker positions and a clear path between the speakers and your ears. The rest of the home can remain exactly that: home.

02 · Music in everyday life

Good placement can share the room.

A normal living room has a sofa, furniture, power points and daily use. Stereo placement need not compete with any of it. Give the two speakers similar conditions, keep their fronts clear and make the practical cable route part of the plan.

03 · A room centred on listening

Give the performance its place.

When both speakers and the listening seat can be positioned deliberately, the relationship between the loudspeaker and the room becomes easier to refine. Symmetry, nearby walls and the distance to the chair are useful places to begin.

The room comes first

Begin with geometry.

A useful starting point—not a fixed rule. An approximately balanced listening triangle helps establish a coherent centre image. Small changes in position can change the relationship between the loudspeaker and the room. Move. Listen. Adjust.

Room factors

What we consider with you.

01

Room and openings

Width, length, height and whether the room opens into another space establish the starting context.

02

Listening position

Where you naturally sit, how far you are from the speakers and what each side of the room offers.

03

Surfaces and furniture

Nearby walls, windows, rugs, curtains and furniture influence practical placement and everyday comfort.

04

System and use

Your amplifier or source, listening level and the format that suits the way you live with music.
